Necrocasticon

Necrocasticon, where we blend horror fiction with heavy metal. Each week we’ll find a common link between a horror property and heavy metal music and talk about it. Our esteemed panel of experts in the field of metal and all things that are scary includes our host and moderator; author Thomas R Clark, Mr. Scott, Smoking Walt Ball, Sgt Fury Dan Roberts, and Uncle Skip Novak. Not to mention, each week we’ll feature special guests from the worlds of hard rock music and the horror genre in print and on the screen!

Welcome to Volume 2 Chapter 49 of The Necrocasticon, project Entertainment Network's podcast that blends horror and heavy metal properties wit a common connection. Your host, writer Token Tom Clark is joined by our panel of metal and horror experts at Project Entertainment Network, Maxx Axe and Smoking Walt Hades. Absent this week, though, is our resident creepy guy, Azriel Mordecai, who's under the weather.

This week we're about the short and sweet and the preview side of things. How so you ask? Horror films, and sometimes novels, often rely on short films, called trailers, basically 2 minute or so long previews of the flicks, to create an interest in the final product. Many trailers are classic and have stood the test of time, while some others gave too much away and killed a film at the box office. Metal and music in the 80's was the same way, with the advent of the popularity of music videos, which at one time were solely used by record companies to sell an artist. Then came MTV. Walt tells us what he's been watching in his 365 movies in 365 Days project, Maxx Gives someone the axe in his new segment, and Az is in the mortuary sleeping as he recovers from being sick, so shhhh. We won't go there this week. Or will we?
